Muller Wiseman recently carried out a total refurbishment of the cream room at their East Kilbride site near Glasgow, and Impact Flooring was selected to carry out the extensive flooring project.

Once the new white wall panels had been installed, we commenced the flooring works – the old drainage was removed first and we installed a new stainless steel system to replace it.

Time was critical on this project to ensure cream production resumed in time for the busy Christmas period, so a fast cure polyurethane screed system, Pumadur SL, was specified to be installed at 3mm thick on top of the existing screed. Our latest high speed, low noise, dust free diamond grinders were used to prepare the existing screed leaving a suitable surface for installation of the new floor finish, which was then completed within the required time.
