Chemical Tank / Bund Lining

Epoxy and Polyurethane Chemical Containment

Alongside our resin flooring systems, we also provide a specialist tank and bund lining service using the latest in chemical resistant resin technology.

We have a specialist team dedicated to this area, trained and skilled in the removal of existing linings, shot blasting existing exposed concrete and steel, and the application of a range of chemical resistant linings. We can confidently design a system that will offer protection against a wide range of chemicals.

Many industries are required by environmental laws to install tanked or bunded areas to contain chemical spillages, in order to prevent them being absorbed into the ground. This is a speciality of Impact Flooring, with our knowledge of epoxy and polyurethane resin systems, we can design a system that is suited to your needs. Whatever chemicals you have present, we can design an epoxy or polyurethane resin system that will be resistant to chemical spills or tank ruptures.

Your bund areas can be chemically resistant and we recommend using a chemical resistant epoxy or polyurethane floor alongside in order to ensure chemicals are not transferred to unprotected areas.

We have completed many projects in this field, including various projects for Biffa Waste where epoxy and polyurethane resin technology are used to protect against aggressive chemicals.

Bunded areas are particularly common within the food industry¬†due to the aggressive cleaning that is utilised. Therefore, it’s essential that chemicals are not transferred¬†into the food area and it is kept within CIP (clean in place) areas.

Whether it’s a new bunded area or old bunded areas that need replacing, we can carry out preparations and repair your bund lining to ensure it complies will environmental regulations.
